Jeanine Greyling

(Pilates and Fitness Instructor)

Jeanine started her dance career at the age of 6.

​

With 30 years of dance experience, she has accomplished a lot. Jeanine has a passion for dancing herself, but her heart lies in teaching. She is the founder and principle of True Vine Dance and Fitness Studio.

 

​Jeanine has trained in Modern, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, African and Jazz. She Started dancing at the age of 6 at Gail Barr Dance Academy and has achieved many distinctions through years of dance.  

​

Throughout her school career, she participated in many sports. As a gymnast in 1999 she was nominated to represent South Africa in the 11th World Gymnastrada in Sweden (Göthenburg). In 2000 she achieved overall first place at the South African Gymnastics Championships. She was nominated as best SA Gymnast, as well as Junior Sport Star of the year in 2000.​

​

In 2005 Jeanine received a bursary to study as a full time dancer at the Waterfront Theatre School and enrolled in 2006, where she learned to further develop herself in more technical aspects of dance.  For 4 years she had the privilege of being taught by Delia Sainsbury and her belated husband Keith Galloway, both known for their amazing work in the Performing Arts Industry.

Jeanine has been an active teacher for the past 16 years and has shown true dedication and commitment as a teacher in striving for excellence. Her love for dancing is known by many as she motivates, builds confidence and shows encouragement through positive re-enforcement. With great heart, she hopes to inspire her students through her love of dance and help them become the best that they can be.

 

Jeanine focuses on maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Being a BASI Pilates instructor as well as pre and post natal instructor, she believes in a healthy diet and daily exercise as she wants people to feel great about their bodies and about their health in order to cultivate a fitness-conscious lifestyle. Jeanine is passionate about helping people reach their goals in the way they look, feel, think and enhance the quality of their lives. No matter what that goal may be, she is there to assist them in achieving it.

Melisande October
(Head Dance Teacher and Barre Instructor)

Melisande October, better known as Milly, started dancing at a community dance school at the age of 8, while training as a high-level gymnast.

In later years she studied dance, drama and musical theatre at the Waterfront Theatre School, where she successfully completed international examinations in advanced levels of classical ballet, modern jazz and tap. She also obtained her teaching qualifications in the above-mentioned dance genres, through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.

Thereafter, she gained her certification as a hip hop teacher as well as a teaching diploma in both modern jazz and tap dance. She has also successfully acquired her qualification as a Barre Fitness instructor.

With many years of teaching and training students for both international dance examinations and the stage, her experience extends to teaching ballet, modern jazz, tap and hip hop to ages 3 years old all the way up to adults.



 

Milly is very passionate about sharing her knowledge as a teacher and professional performer in order to inspire and uplift the next generation through the love of dance.
